My take on Stoptober is…why bother. Having a bleak, dry month is why we have January. For those in agreement, and partial to a tipple, there is a new cocktail event launching in Leeds on Friday 14th October: The Cocktail Experience. Gathering in the beautiful Leeds venue of Aspire, which was the old Yorkshire penny bank, shall be cocktail shakers from the best drinking holes in town, including the Hedonist Project, the Botanist, Alchemist and several more.
The event will be spread across three “themed rooms” filled with master classes, music, entertainment and of course food! Following my positive reviews of other cocktail events that have been held in Leeds, I hope that the Cocktail Experience follows in their tipsy footsteps and brings a raucous couple of evenings of glamour and fabulous drinks. The tickets are reasonable too, £15 per person which includes 2 cocktails! Additional cocktails can be purchased at a fiver each, which is roughly half of what you would pay in most bars.
