This weekend sees one of my year’s favourite events come to London: Tequila and Mezcal Festival. I went last year and had the most blastest of blasts – think one tasting glass, two function halls full of the world’s finest tequilas and mezcals, two days, six London Mexican food vendors and a whole rostra of seminars, classes and entertainment acts….it all adds up to a pretty tidy weekend. In short, I am psyched.
This year it is being held in Old Spitalfields Market and tickets are £15….usually:

Who will be there:
See the website for the full list of drink producers – there’s too many for me to type!
Food wise:
– Condesa Latin Tapas bar with a signature dish of Slow cooked pork pibil with smoked habanero, alioli mini burger
– Tamales UK - Chicken Mole Tamales, Tamales Verdes, Cheese n’ Chili Tamales
– Barrio bars - Pork pastor taco (traditional made as in Mexico City)
– Cafe Pacifico - Street ta- cos pork, chorizo, beef and vegetarian option
– Vera & Co. Ltd – their signature Mexican tostada! A crispy corn tortilla topped with chicken and a combination beans, tomatoes, lettuce, cheese, cream and garnished with fresh coriander.
– DF Mexico by Wahaca – dish unannounced!
In short – I’m genuinely excited about this one. I’ll be there, I’ve corralled a big group of my pals into joining this year and I’m ready to get my mezcal ON!
Salud!
